The IT Enhancement Program (ITEP) is a project conducted by DJIV in cooperation with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) from July 2023 to June 2024 in Yemen. This project facilitated a knowledge transfer by bringing together IT professionals from Germany with their counterparts in Yemen. Participants included both job seekers and current employees of Yemeni IT companies. As a condition of receiving training, employers agreed to provide job opportunities to the top-performing job-seeking trainees. By fostering job creation and knowledge sharing, the project aimed to enhance the overall practices in the Yemeni IT market.
Scheduled for May 18th, the opening day of DTM 2024, this workshop will be led by the ITEP team in collaboration with DJIV's PMO. Featuring GIZ representatives along with ITEP trainers and trainees, the workshop will explore the project's evolution from its inception through its challenges to its achievements and insights.
